Florala State Park

Located in the quaint city of Florala, Alabama, the Florala State Park offers visitors both land and water entertainment. The park borders Lake Jackson, known as one of the clearest and cleanest lakes in all of Alabama. It accommodates a multitude of water sports, along with camping, picnicking and hiking.

Lake Jackson

Lake Jackson has over 500 acres of water. The warm water is perfect for swimming or laying out on the sandy shores. It also has a 200 foot pier and boat launch, so visitors can bring their boats and enjoy a day of water skiing or fishing for local bass. If you are interested in paddle boating, then rentals are also available.

Camping amenities

Florala State Park is only 40 acres of land, but still houses a large campground with 23 campsites. Each site has 30 amp electrical service, water, sewage hookup, a picnic table and grill. Also, for the camper's convenience, there is a modern bathhouse and laundry mat on premises.

Other amenities

If camping is not for you, then the state park has picnic areas for daily use, including a large pavilion for outdoor events. If you wish to have an indoor event, then there is a community building that can hold 50 to 75 people and includes a kitchen with a refrigerator and microwave. The park also has a trail great for biking, running and walking that stretches for 1.4 miles.
