Lakepoint State Park

Lakepoint State Park is a beautiful 1,220-acre park nestled on the shores of Lake Eufala, which spans 45,000 acres. If you are a bass fisherman, then this is definitely the park for you, as the lake is known as the "Bass Capital of the World." Climate
Located in Alabama's lowlands, the park and surrounding area have a subtropical climate. This means hot and humid summers with temperatures often soaring above 100 degrees Fahrenheit. The lowlands receive as much as 60 inches of rain per year, much of it from afternoon thunderstorms during the months of July, August and September. Winters are temperate with the thermometer rarely dipping below 40 degrees Fahrenheit. Spring and fall bring ideal weather with temperatures ranging from 65-85 degrees Fahrenheit and noticeably less humidity than in the summer.
